Two webinars on “Fulbright Research Scholarships” and the “PhD Dissertation Research Grant” were successfully organized in collaboration with Fulbright Türkiye and coordinated by the Academic Writing Application and Research Center of Fırat University.

The first webinar, held on September 25, 2025, provided detailed information about two research grant programs offered by Fulbright Türkiye. The first program targets early-career scholars who have completed their PhD within the last five years, while the second program is designed for senior scholars with at least five years of academic experience after obtaining their PhD.

The second webinar, organized on September 26, 2025, focused on the “PhD Dissertation Research Grant” for doctoral students who have completed or are about to complete their coursework phase.

In both sessions, the scope of the grants, application processes, and key considerations were shared by Fulbright Türkiye representatives, who also addressed the participants’ questions. The webinars were moderated by Research Assistant Yeşim İpekçi, Deputy Director of the Academic Writing Application and Research Center at Fırat University.

Assoc. Prof. Seçil Tümen Akyıldız, Director of the Academic Writing Application and Research Center, and Research Assistant Yeşim İpekçi emphasized that Fulbright scholarships provide valuable opportunities for international research, and they expressed their gratitude to all academics and doctoral students who participated.
